I just picked these up and they are delicious… “Joan & David Funn Slingback” in dark red patent… I usually stray away from patent leather but these I just could not resist!

These are elegant and stylish and the rounded toe works very well for me (size 10’s remember!)… For a five-inch stiletto with a one-inch platform these walk extremely well, have great stability, fit and feel very good and most importantly, the heel straps don’t dig in, slip or bother me one single bit… and I tested them on a twelve-hour work day… Also, the stitching, quality and materials are top-notch and these were a bit pricey so I am very pleased.

I was hesitant to go with red at first – thinking they would be too restrictive (versatility wise) or stand out too much with basics. I paired them with a grey, wool skirt suit and grey sheer stockings and the match was perfect. The hint of color offset the suit nicely and like I said, they fit like a dream…
