PROPER MEASUREMENTS

When was the last time you took a full set of proper measurements? Never! Really? Well, don’t fret I’m here to help. Every woman should know her bust, waist, and hip measurements, along with her bra size. Other measurements, including inseam, shoulder width, and sleeve length, are used less often. Women interested in looking at high-end formal clothes, custom clothes, or tailor-fit clothes should keep even these rarely used measurements on hand, however. This short, simple guide will have you all ticked off and squared away in no time…

Here are a few measuring charts…

BODY SHAPES & TYPES

Perhaps the most challenging part of life is wanting what you don’t have – only to find most times that having is less fulfilling than wanting… In this case, knowing your body type (even if you don’t like it) can help you look good because you can dress (or learn to dress) to accentuate/accommodate your shape. You can also often fool the eye; like a woman wearing ankle-straps to make her legs look longer (e.g. straps draws attention to the ankle, which is typically the thinnest part of the leg and thinner = longer in this equation)…

Some useful things to help dress for your shape…

What To Wear How To Dress” is a wonderful resource and includes a Body Type & Proportions Analysis tool which allows you to determine your exact body type/shape.
